Data Deletion

eCryptex Vault is designed around a local vault model. The core vault does not require an eCryptex server account.

Delete App Records

To delete individual records, open eCryptex Vault, unlock your vault, select the record or folder, and use the delete action in the app.

To remove local vault data from the device, delete the app from iOS. This may remove local vault data unless you previously exported, backed up, or synced it.

Shared or Exported Data

If you exported, shared, emailed, saved, or uploaded files outside eCryptex Vault, delete those copies from the destination app, service, device, or recipient location.

Deletion Help

For deletion questions, email contact@eCryptex.com. Include the app name, device model, and the type of deletion help requested. Do not send passphrases, passwords, private records, legal directives, or unencrypted sensitive files.
